MediHub signed a cooperation agreement with Medicine & Health (Thuoc & Suc khoe) Magazine on December 17 to promote health literacy to Vietnam’s 95M+ population.
Associate Professor Dr Pham Khanh Phong Lan, vice chairwoman of the Vietnamese Pharmaceutical Association, said Medicine & Health Magazine is the mouthpiece of the Vietnamese Pharmaceutical Association and has accompanied pharmaceutical associations in 63 cities and provinces over the 30 years.
Medicine departments in hospitals have considered the magazine as a source of official and useful information about mechanisms, policies and practical experiences for pharmacists. With the cooperation with MediHub and the consulting of experts, Medicine & Health Magazine will develop further, Lan added.
According to Dr Bui Minh Trang, deputy editor-in-chief of Medicine & Health Magazine, the magazine enjoyed a gilded age with circulation up to 50,000 copies. The new cooperation with MediHub will help the magazine digitalize along with its reader base and strengthen reach into key expansion markets including health care providers, pharmacists and general population at large.
“After discussing with and learning about many partners, we realized that the cooperation with MediHub is the best choice at present so that the two sides can develop together. I am grateful for and acknowledge the goodwill of MediHub’s director board for not laying too much emphasis on the profit. With the cooperation, we will jointly strive to care for the public health,” Trang said.
Nguyen The Dinh, CEO of MediHub, said the focus of the cooperation was to develop the online magazine thuocsuckhoe.vn. Besides articles meeting the demand of readers, the two sides would hone in on multimedia content including videos, audios and interactive content suited for the digital age. The content of the magazine will be also published on MediHub’s media channels at some 100 hospitals, 1,000 clinics and 2,000 pharmacies, on its social network MediHub.vn and on mobile apps MDCom and PharmaCom for doctors and pharmacists next year.
The two sides will also jointly organize training courses to provide healthcare education consumers and patients with the participation of top level medical and pharmaceutical experts. The courses will prioritize content focusing on mothers, children, patients suffering from chronic diseases, strokes and Covid-19 as well as on nutrition and sports.
Trainees will attend online classes and meet with experts at training centers cooperating with MediHub nationwide.
