HCMC – Troops and firefighters in Binh Duong Province cordoned off a road and evacuated many households in Phu Loi Ward in Thu Dau Mot City today, January 10, due to an ammonia leak from an ice factory.
At 7.00 a.m. on the day, residents living along Phu Loi Street discovered a strong smell of ammonia and felt dizzy, so they reported the incident to the local authorities for an investigation.
After being notified of the incident, the authorities quickly approached the scene and discovered the leak from a nearby ice plant, evacuating hundreds of affected residents.
At 9.15 a.m., no hospitalizations were reported due to the ammonia leak.
