Vietjet joins hands with Thailand to promote tourism recovery

HCMC – Thai Vietjet and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) have signed a Letter of Intent to implement joint tourism marketing plans and bring tourists to Thailand, mainly from the Vietnamese and Cambodian source markets.

The two sides will collaborate and create joint promotional activities, organize familiarization trips to Thailand and share travel and tourism information that contribute to the recovery of the aviation and tourism sectors at the earliest.

“The cooperation with Vietjet Air, which has been ranked among Vietnam’s 50 best performing companies for four consecutive years, is the latest collaboration of TAT with key airlines, utilizing the airline’s route network to grow the number of visitors to Thailand,” said Tanes Petsuwan, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing (Asia and South Pacific).

The collaboration, part of the TAT’s 2022 campaign, is expected to create many joint marketing and promotional activities that will focus on bringing visitors to Thailand, he added.

Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh, Thai Vietjet Chairwoman, said, “The collaboration will result in more incentives and attractive marketing campaigns to benefit customers in the coming time, further boosting tourism recovery in Thailand and the region.”

The airline is operating the HCMC-Bangkok air service with up to six weekly flights, while its air route from Bangkok to Danang City will be resumed on March 27.

Thai Vietjet will also launch its new international service connecting Bangkok and the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh on March 16. The airline will further expand its international operations in the coming months.

In Thailand, Vietjet currently operates an expansive domestic flight network, including services from Bangkok to top business and travel destinations such as Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, Krabi, Udon Thani, Hat Yai, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Ubon Ratchathani and Surat Thani, apart from other cross-regional routes.
