HCMC – Airbus has contributed to the “Breathe Again” campaign organized by the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) in Vietnam to support the fight against Covid-19 by offering medical supplies.

Airbus Vietnam has provided ICU respiratory ventilators, purified water generators for dialysis, patient parameter monitors and minimally invasive cardiac output monitors. The medical equipment is being sourced locally and will be distributed to hospitals that have been most hard-pressed for resources.

The donation was announced at a medical equipment handover ceremony at the Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi City on October 27.

“We hope that our contribution via the EuroCham initiative will help some hospitals that continue to face challenges due to the high Covid case numbers,” said Anand Stanley, president of Airbus Asia-Pacific.

“Vietnam has done so well in managing the pandemic since the outset, and we hope that the current situation in the country will improve soon.”
