HCMC – Taiwanese manufacturer AVC Group broke ground on a US$600 million electronics components plant in Ninh Binh Province on May 22, with the facility expected to begin operations before January 2027.

The project is being developed by AVC Technology Vietnam at Kim Bang 1 Industrial Park in Le Ho Ward, reported the Vietnam News Agency.

The factory will cover more than 461,000 square meters and be able to turn out more than 84 million products annually, equivalent to over 3.1 million tons of output a year.

The plant will manufacture server cooling equipment such as cooling fans, heatsinks, cooling plates and liquid cooling systems. It will also produce server components, including chassis casings, hinges, sliding rails, floating joints and quick connectors.

Cheng Ching-Hsiang, general director of AVC Technology Vietnam, described Vietnam as one of AVC Group’s key strategic markets in Asia.

The company expects the project to create around 20,000 jobs once operations stabilize. AVC previously invested US$400 million in the AVC 1 factory at Dong Van 3 Industrial Park in Ninh Binh in 2020. The facility spans more than 200,000 square meters.

According to the company, AVC 1 generated revenue of US$1.1 billion in 2025 and employs more than 12,000 workers.

AVC’s total investment in Vietnam is projected to reach around US$1 billion after the new project is completed.

Nguyen Mai Thuan, deputy head of the Management Board of Ninh Binh Economic Zones and Industrial Parks, called on the investor to accelerate construction progress while complying with approved planning, environmental, labor safety and fire prevention regulations.

The management board also pledged support for investors through provincial incentive policies and administrative procedures.
