Bac Ninh manages to bring Covid-19 under control

HCMC – Bac Ninh Province, one of the country’s largest coronavirus hotspots, has brought the Covid-19 pandemic under control, the national steering committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control said this morning, June 30.

The province has seen five out of eight districts and towns–Luong Tai, Tien Du, Yen Phong, Que Vo and Tu Son– enter a new normal stage. Meanwhile, Bac Ninh City was evaluated as facing a high risk of infection.

Bac Ninh Province is expected to still see some Covid-19 cases in the next few days, but they will mainly be found at concentrated quarantine centers or in areas under lockdown, the local media reported.

On June 29, the province disbanded one more field hospital set up for Covid-19 treatment, taking the number of field hospitals having been dissolved to three.

Bac Ninh Province is treating 298 Covid-19 patients, with only two of them getting ill and receiving treatment at the Bac Ninh General Hospital. The province has seen a total of 1,267 patients make a full recovery.

Over 350 coronavirus checkpoints remain operational in many districts and communes in the province to control the people and vehicles entering Bac Ninh Province to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
