HCMC – Bamboo Airways has announced changes to its Board of Directors (BOD) and Executive Board as the CEO and the BOD chairman have stepped down just over a month after assuming their positions.

Four BOD members – chairman Hideki Oshima and vice chairmen Nguyen Ngoc Trong, Doan Huu Doan and Phan Dinh Tue – have tendered their resignation and got approval from Bamboo Airways.

Nguyen Minh Hai has also stepped down as CEO of Bamboo Airways.

New members have been selected for the BOD for the term 2023-2028 to replace the resigned members.

Following Hideki Oshima’s resignation, Le Thai Sam, a shareholder with over 50% stake in the company, will take over as chairman.

Hideki Oshima is now standing deputy chairman of the BOD, while Le Ba Nguyen and Nguyen Ngoc Trong are vice chairmen.

Nguyen Ngoc Trong assumes the post of CEO, replacing Nguyen Minh Hai.

Bamboo Airways stated that these personnel changes are part of its restructuring plan.

Previously, the carrier appointed seven new board members, including Hideki Oshima, during an annual general meeting of shareholders on July 21, following the resignation of the previous five members.
