HCMC – The government of Binh Duong Province, in association with Becamex IDC, has organized an investment promotion teleconference, calling upon French firms to develop hi-tech projects in the province.

Speaking at the teleconference on Tuesday, April 26, Binh Duong Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Danh said that in Binh Duong, French firms have got involved in 36 projects with total registered capital of over US$98 million.

French investors are encouraged to develop hi-tech and eco-friendly projects, said Danh.

The province also needs foreign investment in a number of projects in fields such as finance, logistics, supporting industry and hi-tech agriculture.

Thibaut Giroux, chairman of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam, said French companies have 650 projects in Vietnam.

Binh Duong has much potential for development in multiple fields, mainly hi-tech agriculture and energy over which French investors have an edge, he added.
