HCMC – Six workers died and five others were injured in a boiler explosion at a wood processing company in Dong Nai Province today morning, May 1.
The explosion occurred at around 9:00 a.m. at Binh Minh Wood Production Trading Co. Ltd. in Thien Tan Commune, Vinh Cuu District. Around 30 people were working in the area where the explosion took place.
The injured workers, aged between 34 and 44, were swiftly transported to Dong Nai General Hospital for medical attention. In response to the emergency, the Dong Nai Department of Health has mobilized medical personnel from major hospitals to support the treatment of the injured.
According to a report by the Vinh Cuu District police, six people aged between 32 and 39 died in the explosion, namely Lo Van Lon from Son La, Luong Van Hung from Nghe An, Tran Van Nguyen from Bac Giang, Tran Van Cuong from Bac Lieu, Son Ngoc Thuy from Soc Trang, and Chinese national Xie Xhenlong.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
