HCMC – The British Council, the UK’s international organization for educational and cultural opportunities, has postponed all IELTS tests scheduled to be held in Vietnam from today, November 10, until further notice.

Many IELTS candidates received email messages from the British Council on Wednesday evening informing them of the postponement without any detailed explanation.

“We are so sorry to announce that all British Council’s IELTS exams in Vietnam will be postponed until further notice. Therefore, your exam on November 10, 2022, will be canceled,” an email message said.

The British Council’s website also says the situation is beyond their control, affecting all foreign language tests. They are working closely with functional units to resume the testing as soon as possible.

However, the resumption of testing is subject to the approval of the Ministry of Education and Training, according to the announcement on their website.

All affected persons can change the test date free of charge when the testing is allowed to resume.

The Aptis tests, recognized as the output standards for students in many universities in the northern regions, have also been postponed at the British Council.

Moreover, other foreign language proficiency tests have been delayed until further notice, including HSK, HSKK (Chinese proficiency tests) and Nat-test (Japanese language test) in foreign languages and informatics centers in HCMC and Hanoi.
