HCMC – Politburo member Bui Thi Minh Hoai has been re-elected Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
This morning, October 17, at the ongoing 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 2025-2030 tenure, Tran Sy Thanh, deputy secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, announced the results of the elections at the congress.
Bui Thi Minh Hoai won the re-election to the post of Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Tran Sy Thanh, Nguyen Van Phong, Phung Thi Hong Ha, and Nguyen Trong Dong were either elected or re-elected deputy secretaries of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Bui Thi Minh Hoai was born in 1965 in Tan Thanh Commune, Ninh Binh Province. She holds a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in law and a degree on advanced political theory.
She began her political career as vice chairwoman of the Ha Nam Province People’s Council from May 2004 to February 2006. During more than 20 years of public service, Hoai has held various leadership positions at both local and central levels.
She was elected to the Politburo at the ninth plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee in May 2024 and, in July 2024, was appointed Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.
