HCMC – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen yesterday, October 26, announced that Cambodia would donate 200,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses to Vietnam this Friday, October 29, to aid the neighboring country in the coronavirus fight.
The type of vaccine remains unknown.
Or Vandine, Secretary of State at the Cambodian Health Ministry and head of the Ad-hoc Commission for Covid Vaccination, will represent PM Hun Sen to hand over the vaccine to Vietnam on October 29 at the Bavet-Moc Bai border gate, which lies between Vietnam’s southern province of Tay Ninh and Cambodia’s Svay Rieng Province, reported the Khmer Times.
Cambodia has provided cash, face masks, and medical supplies to some countries, including Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and Timor Leste.
On July 19, the Government and people of Cambodia presented one million medical masks, 100,000 N95 face masks, 100 oxygen concentrators and US$200,000 to Vietnam.
