Vietnam has since mid-August issued e-visas to citizens from all countries and territories to boost inbound tourism. With this change, many enterprises have also been preparing to serve international guests until the end of the year. Attracting international tourists The validity of the e-visa has been extended from 30 days to a maximum of 90 days since August 15th. During this 90-day period, foreign travelers from all countries and territories worldwide are allowed to enter and exit the country multiple times, regardless of their visit’s purpose, whether for business or leisure. The law also allows citizens of countries subject to Vietnam’s unilateral visa waiver to have temporary residence for 45 days instead of the previous 15 days. They can also apply for visas and extend their stay, following the current regulations. Nguyen Ngoc Toan, a representative of Image Travel and Event Company Limited, believes that this visa policy will attract foreign travelers who want to stay in Vietnam for over a month.
