A U-70 marathoner

A farmer in his sixties is well known as a long distance runner. He has joined amateur and professional running competitions and won man high prizes to the admiration of other runners. In the running communities in Vietnam, runners at the age of 60 to 70 always inspire younger ones. Taking part in almost all running competitions in a year, Vo Kinh, a 62-year-old farmer living in Dong Nai Province, says he chose running because he loves the feeling that his health is better day after day, adding that he often gets up early in the morning to have more time for running. He does farm work in the daytime and goes to bed early at night. He runs some 120 kilometers a week on average. Kinh says he began to run when he was 35 years old, and continues running until now. He used to play football and badminton when he was young. However, since the day he fell in love with running, he felt his respiration has become much better than the result from playing other sports.
