Central Vietnam’s golf sector is entering a new phase of maturity, with leading courses celebrating milestone anniversaries that underscore the region’s growing credibility as an international golf destination.

Ba Na Hills Golf Club marked its 10th anniversary on March 25, while Montgomerie Links is set to enter its 19th year in 2026. The milestones reflect broader momentum in Vietnam’s tourism and business environment, with the central coast increasingly attracting long-haul golfers from markets such as Australia and New Zealand.

Ba Na Hills has evolved over a decade into one of Asia’s most decorated courses. Managed by IMG Golf Services, the course has won multiple international awards, including five consecutive Asia’s Best Golf Course titles at the World Golf Awards.

Montgomerie Links, which opened in 2008, has played a foundational role in establishing the region’s reputation. In 2025, the course accounted for 17% of rounds played in the Hue–Danang market.

The broader Vietnam Golf Coast network includes courses designed by prominent architects such as Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus, reinforcing the region’s global appeal.

With peak playing conditions in March and April, operators are also promoting the destination at the Asia Golf Tourism Convention in Thailand, aiming to sustain growth and repeat visitation.

Industry figures say continued investment in quality and infrastructure will be critical as Central Vietnam positions itself as a reliable, return-worthy golf destination.
