The Canadian Consul General on October 30 visited BM Windows in the context that the company is about to export its first batch to Canada. This also marks 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Canada.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong, Founding Chairman of BM Windows, said accelerating exports is an important target for BM Windows, and the company is striving to increase exports in the coming time. He is confident that after completing some significant international projects, the quality of BM Windows will be recognized by “fastidious” export markets.

Leading the mission, Ms. Annie Dubé, Consul General of Canada, was happy to see Vietnam being recognized internationally as a manufacturer of choice for high-end and high-quality building products, with BM Windows being a prime example. The company was selected to manufacture façades for The One building in Toronto. The 91-story high-rise that, once completed, will be the tallest in Canada, and a new landmark of the Toronto skyline. Consul General Dubé also indicated that with the launch of the Government of Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy and with tools such as the CPTPP, she is hopeful to see an increase in the bilateral trade flow between the two countries and more win-win partnerships between Vietnamese and Canadian companies, where each entity can benefit from each other’s strength and expertise.

BM Windows is the first Vietnamese company to export aluminum and glass façades to Canada. This contractor is the manufacturer and supplier of more than 7,000 façade products with a total area of 27,000 square meters for The One building, which is 328.4 meters tall (91 stories). This is one of the skyscrapers in Canada, for which building materials must be the most windproof, airtight and insulated. Such products must conform to strict standards of the North American market and endure harsh climatic conditions, sometimes down to minus 18 degrees Celsius of the temperate zone.

It is the first time the Consul General of Canada has visited a Vietnamese company specializing in the production of aluminum and glass façades. With The One project now underway, both parties expect to see more cooperation and opportunities in Canada’s and Vietnam’s highly competitive commercial construction markets in the coming years.

The Consul General of Canada visits the BM Windows factory

BM Windows, a typical company in aluminum and glass façades, has completed some 550 projects at home and abroad, including high-end real estate projects in Vietnam. Apart from Canada, the company also boosts its façade exports to Australia, Cambodia, Myanmar and New Zealand. To meet the construction standards of developed markets, the company keeps renovating technology, and improving the quality of its manpower. BM Windows is the first and only aluminum and glass factory in Vietnam that wins the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. The BM Windows factory looks forward to global standards and sustainable development toward the “low carbon” trend.

Representatives of Mizrahi Developments and international design consulting firms welcome the Consul General of Canada

In addition to Canada, BM Windows continues to look for new opportunities in the North American market, contacting and working with international partners, looking forward to becoming a global company. In early October, the company was the only representative of the region to attend the Zak World of Façade New York. There, BM Windows introduced the development of Vietnam’s façade industry to international experts, together targeting sustainable façades, low carbon emitting technology, and optimal building envelope.

According to experts, accelerating the transition to export is a necessary step in the context that Vietnam’s construction sector is still mired in difficulties. Entering the global playground is not that easy due to a series of strict technical standards in every country or region, but it is a way for Vietnamese businesses to prove their capacity on the international market.
