HCMC – Dak Nong Province has approved a plan to use VND1 trillion for site clearance of an expressway linking the province and Binh Phuoc Province.

The land clearance capital for the Gia Nghia-Chon Thanh expressway will be sourced from the mid-term public investment, an increase in budget revenue and proceeds from auctions of land use rights, heard an extraordinary meeting held by the Dak Nong People’s Council today, May 23.

The provincial government was told to establish a steering committee in charge of conducting site clearance and putting forward solutions for site clearance, compensation and resettlement, the local media reported.

Luu Van Trung, deputy secretary of the Dak Nong Party Committee and chairman of the provincial People’s Council, said that Vingroup and Techcombank have proposed developing the expressway under the public-private partnership format. The two firms will cover the cost of pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.

The Gia Nghia-Chon Thanh expressway, added to the national road development plan in the 2021-2030 period, with a vision towards 2050, will be some 140 kilometers long and have six lanes. The project will require a total investment of nearly VND26 trillion.
