HCMC – The price of RON95 gasoline was revised up by VND670 a liter today, May 23, to hit an all-time high, according to an announcement jointly issued by the Ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance.
The high-grade RON95 is now priced at VND30,650 per liter, while the bio-fuel price E5 RON92 sells for VND29,630 per liter, up VND680 per liter, the local media reported.
Meanwhile, the retail prices of other fuels were adjusted down VND760-VND1,100 per liter or kilogram. Kerosene, diesel oil and heavy fuel oil are now priced at VND24,400, VND25,550 and VND20,590 per liter or kilogram, respectively.
During this fuel price adjustment, the ministries decided not to impose a surcharge on fuels to replenish the fuel price stabilization fund, but charge buyers VND300 for each liter of kerosene and diesel oil and VND400 for each kilogram of heavy fuel oil.
Fuel traders are allowed to tap this fund at VND100 for each liter of bio-fuel E5 RON92 sold, and VND300 for each liter of RON95 petrol.
