HCMC – The government of Dalat City in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong has proposed developing a residential area, plus a pedestrian street and a night market near Xuan Huong Lake, at a total cost of over VND1.65 trillion.

Of the total investment, over VND1.2 trillion will be used for site clearance and resettlement.

Under the proposal, the project will cover 12.1 hectares of land northeast of Xuan Huong Lake, and will be completed after 2026.

The residential area will comprise villas, shophouses, townhouses, a night market and a pedestrian street, the local media reported.

Besides, the city also proposed building infrastructure, and developing tourism products and services synchronously.

The project is expected to further diversify urban facilities and improve the cityscape, according to the municipal government.

The existing Dalat night market is overwhelmed and deteriorating, while many services along the Hoa Binh pedestrian street nearby have failed to satisfy residents and tourists.
