HANOI – French software developer Dassault Systèmes on July 27 inaugurated its first office in Vietnam, reinforcing its commitment to one of the fastest growing markets in Southeast Asia.
The new office is located in Hanoi City’s Ba Dinh District.
Since its reopening follwing the fourth wave of Covid, Vietnam has emerged as an attractive foreign investment destination.
Of the foreign investment, 50% has been poured into the manufacturing sector. As such, Vietnam will be a world manufacturing hub in the near future, said Josephine Ong, managing director for South Asia Pacific at Dassault Systèmes.
Dassault Systèmes has some 3,000 customers in Vietnam, including local and international companies.
Dassault Systèmes will open one more office in HCMC in the coming months to expand its reach in the Vietnamese market, said Ong, adding that the firm is cooperating with Vingroup to aid the latter with digital transformation for VinFast and Vinhomes.
Samson Khaou, Dassault Systèmes vice president of Asia Pacific, said, “Sustainability is at the heart of Dassault Systèmes’ corporate purpose. It is completely aligned with Vietnam’s commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 at the COP26 summit. The local presence will help the country become a green manufacturing hub and facilitate the export of made-in-Vietnam products.”
