HCMC – Luong Tri Thin, board chairman of Dat Xanh Group (stock code: DXG), has registered to sell more than 20 million DXG shares.
His share sale is expected to take place between September 11 and October 10. If all the registered shares are sold, Thin’s stake in Dat Xanh Group would fall from 20.41% to 17.15%.
As DXG shares are now traded at around VND22,100 per share, Thin could possibly get more than VND442 billion from the sale. He would use part of the proceeds to lend to the company.
Earlier, the board of Dat Xanh Group passed a resolution agreeing that Luong Tri Thin would be able to lend VND300 billion to the company, with a maximum term of six months and an interest rate of 6% per year.
Previously, Luong Tri Tu, the younger brother of Thin, also registered to sell more than four million shares from August 7 to September 5.
Bui Ngoc Duc, CEO of DXG, has also announced to sell 430,700 shares, lowering his ownership from 0.15% to 0.082%.
Closing the trading session today, September 6, DXG inched up 0.68% to VND22,250 per share, with 41.7 million shares transacted.
The benchmark VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE) ended higher today, extending its winning streak to the sixth straight day although the selling pressure rose sharply.
With 356 winners and 145 losers, the VN-Index added 10.52 points, or 0.85%, against the previous session to 1,245.5 points. More than 1.13 billion shares worth over VND25.2 trillion were traded on the bourse, slightly higher than in the session earlier.
The VN30 basket exhibited a similar trend and closed at its daily peak. Specifically, the VN30-Index increased by 15.39 points, or 1.24%, day-on-day, to 1,260.03 points, with 22 stocks rising, four declining, and the other four remaining unchanged.
Steel maker HPG took the lead by liquidity with more than 52.57 million shares traded, closing at VND29,000, a 4.3% increase.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index rose by 3.08 points, or 1.22%, against the day earlier, at 255.36 points, with 104 advancers and 68 decliners.
Trade volume totaled over 120.1 million shares worth VND2.4 trillion, including over 14.4 million shares valued at VND326 billion transacted in block deals.
