These rest areas will be located along the following expressways: Mai Son-National Highway 45, Nghi Son-Dien Chau, Dien Chau-Bai Vot, Nha Trang-Cam Lam, Cam Lam-Vinh Hao, Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet (two rest areas), and Phan Thiet-Dau Giay.

The Vietnam Expressway Authority has requested project management boards 6, 7, 85, Thang Long, and Ho Chi Minh Road to provide information on the progress and timeline for transferring land to investors by August 10.

The project management boards have been assigned to work with investors and local authorities to provide guidance on procedures related to compensation, support, and resettlement payments by August 15, 2024.

The essential infrastructure for all eight rest areas is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, with other commercial facilities potentially finished later.

Out of the eight rest area projects along the North-South Expressway that recently found investors, the consortium led by Petrolimex won bids to carry out four projects, while the consortium led by FUTA Bus Lines won three projects, and the consortium led by Thanh Thanh Nam JSC won one project.
