Do Quang Vinh elected SHS chairman

HCMC – Do Quang Vinh was elected chairman of the Saigon – Hanoi Securities JSC (SHS) at the company’s shareholders meeting on April 27.

Aside from serving as board member, vice general director, director of the Digital Banking Division of Saigon Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB), Vinh is also chairman of the Members’ Council at SHB Finance.

The 33-year-old chairman of SHS has been working in the financial-banking sector for many years and was CEO of T&T Group’s U.S. branch.

At the general meeting, Luu Danh Duc was elected board member of SHS. Duc is an IT expert with many years of experience at major corporations at home and abroad.

SHS closed the session today, April 29, up 1.57% at VND19,400. SHB also improved 0.62% at VND16,300.

The local stock market ended the last session of April on an upbeat note.

The benchmark VN-Index improved 15.81 points, or 1.17% against the previous session at 1,366.8, with 339 winners and 99 losers. Over 598 million shares worth over VND18.7 trillion were traded on the southern bourse, rising over 23% in volume and 41% in value over the session earlier.

On the Hanoi bourse, strong cash flow buoyed the HNX-Index. With 183 advancers and 46 decliners, the index gained 5.63 points, or 1.56% compared to yesterday at 365.83.
