HCMC – A video capturing a group of dolphins off the coast between Mui Sung and Huc Lo areas in Son Tra Peninsula, Danang City, has gained significant attention.
The short video of the pod, recorded by a local resident, quickly went viral on social media this morning, June 22, reported the local media.
Nguyen Duc Vu, head of the management board of Son Tra Peninsula, stated that this is the first time dolphins have been observed near the coastline in the region.
Previously, Danang City has documented several cases of injured dolphins being washed ashore, prompting people to intervene and return them to the ocean.
In a notable incident on May 5, 2020, the management board, in collaboration with local authorities, successfully rescued a dolphin trapped on the shore of Tho Quang, Son Tra District. The injured mammal had become entangled in fishing nets.
