HCMC – The Ministry of Transport has adjusted up the price ranges for domestic air services. These new rates are scheduled to come into effect on March 1, 2024.
Under the updated regulations, for flights covering a distance of less than 500km, the price cap will be VND1,600,000 per ticket for routes dedicated to socio-economic development and VND1,700,000 per ticket for other routes.
For all other air routes, the airfare cap will increase by VND50,000 to VND250,000 per ticket, depending on the length of the route.
For flights ranging from 500km to less than 850km, the price cap will rise by VND50,000 to VND2,250,000 per ticket.
Meanwhile, the maximum prices for flights spanning from 850km to less than 1,000km will amount to VND2,890,000 per ticket, a VND100,000 increase from the current rates.
The price cap for routes between 1,000km and 1,280km, as well as those exceeding 1,280km, will increase by VND200,000 or VND250,000, resulting in VND3,400,000 or VND3,750,000 per one-way ticket, respectively.
It should be noted that these prices do not include value-added tax, service charges, baggage fees, security charges, and additional service fees.
