HCMC – Dominik Meichle, managing director of Bosch Vietnam, has been elected as chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham).

Meichle succeeds Gabor Fluit, who led the organization through a period of consistent growth and advocacy initiatives.

Speaking at EuroCham’s recent annual general meeting, Meichle said, “Dedicated dialogue with Vietnamese and European stakeholders will help us unveil opportunities for impactful collaboration and sustainable economic growth in Vietnam.”

The new chairman, who became Bosch Vietnam’s youngest managing director in 2022, will lead a board that includes experienced leaders, including Secretary General Marieke van der Pijl and Treasurer Olivier Rousselet.

The board’s focus will be on intensified advocacy efforts across Vietnam’s provinces and cities, and an increased emphasis on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.

Notably, the Green Economy Forum and Exhibition (GEFE) is set to take place in HCMC on October 21-23, providing a platform for sustainable business solutions and high-level policy discussions.
