HCMC – The European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham Vietnam) is hosting the Green Economy Forum & Exhibition (GEFE) 2022 in HCMC from November 28 to 30.
The event is expected to advance EU-Vietnam sustainable development cooperation through comprehensive dialogue, investment coordination, knowledge sharing and technology transfer.
GEFE 2022’s primary goal is to help Vietnam meet its COP26 commitments and accomplish the development goals outlined in its National Green Growth Strategy for the 2021-2030 period.
Academics, innovators, students and policymakers from Europe, Vietnam and Southeast Asia will participate in the three-day event that will feature panel discussions, an exhibition, and business-to-business and business-to-government discussions.
GEFE 2022’s first day will feature a plenary session where high-level representatives of the European and Vietnamese governments and business stakeholders will discuss sustainable development, energy policy and climate risk management. Representatives of EU member states, diplomatic and trade promotion officials and international organizations such as the World Bank have confirmed to attend.
On the second and third days of the event, panel discussions linked to waste and sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship will be held.
On October 3, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, signed a memorandum of understanding with EuroCham to co-organize GEFE 2022 and strengthen links between Vietnamese and European business communities.
As part of its agreement with EuroCham, VIETRADE will help enroll Vietnamese companies and exhibitors for GEFE 2022 and its Vietnamese National Pavilion.
