In March, Da Man Forest in D’ran Village, Don Duong District, Lam Dong Province, enters the charming red foliage season, mesmerizing many tourists

Nestled among the D’ran and Ngoan Muc passes, D’ran Village was established in the early 20th century and named by the French. Although the village is only 40 kilometers from Dalat City, which is a popular destination, D’ran is still a peaceful village embraced by the Da Nhim Lake. The village is home to architecture associated with the history of Dalat, such as the D’ran Iron Bridge and the Thap Cham-Dalat train station.

D’ran Village embraced by the Da Man Forest is an ideal destination for those who love peace and romance.

Hiking tour of Da Man Forest

The gorgeous Da Man Forest is a haven for hikers. It takes them four hours to complete a hiking tour of Da Man Forest if they depart from D’ran Village.

Da Man Forest in the red foliage season is as delightful as a painting. In March, the entire forest seems to wear a red silk shirt. Annually, trees in the forest start turning from green to orange and red in February. The red foliage season lasts three months.

The hiking tour is not just a long walk. It offers hikers interesting experiences such as camping overnight in the forest, rowing, stand-up paddleboarding and much more.

It’s wonderful to witness the red foliage season, which is rarely seen in a tropical country like Vietnam. Moreover, when night comes, hikers can gather around their campfire and enjoy peace and tranquility.
