Four more Covid-19 patients recover

HCMC – Four more Covid-19 patients will be discharged from the hospital today, June 2, taking the country’s total number of recovered cases to 297, stated the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

The four patients, aged between 26 and 35 years, are male residents from Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces.

The 294th patient was sent to hospital on May 13, while the 299th was hospitalized on May 17. They are no longer showing symptoms of a cough and a fever.

The two other patients, the 307th and 311th, have been receiving treatment at the hospital since May 18.

All four have tested negative for the virus two or three times.

After being discharged from the hospital, the four patients will be quarantined at home for another 14 days.

With the new recoveries, the total number of cases declared free of the coronavirus infection has accounted for 90% of the total 328 confirmed cases to date, VietnamPlus news site reported.

The national steering committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control announced this morning that Vietnam has gone 47 days without seeing any new coronavirus infections in the community.
