HCMC – FPT Corporation and Hope Foundation have completed 21 upgrade projects for 11 schools in Yen Bai and Thai Binh provinces, benefiting nearly 4,000 students and teachers.

The projects were implemented in two to three months, varying from the renovation of existing facilities to the construction of new classrooms, dormitories and restrooms.

Among the projects is Hang De Sua preschool in Mu Cang Chai District, Yen Bai Province. This is one of four local preschool classrooms run by Xeo Di Ho Kindergarten. Its facilities were damaged by a flood in 2018.

The new school has two classrooms and a kitchen. The project cost nearly VND1 billion, with over VND730 million of it coming from FPT and Hope Foundation.

The school improvement projects in Yen Bai and Thai Binh are part of the “Light up the School” program initiated by FPT and Hope Foundation. The effort aims to improve the learning conditions for children in disadvantaged areas.

In 2024, the program plans to build 13 new schools, 70 new toilets, and renovate 50 existing schools. It will also donate 35 e-libraries to schools in remote areas.
