HCMC – FPT Software, a unit of FPT Corporation (FPT), has signed a partnership agreement with NCS, a subsidiary of the Singaporean telecommunications company Singtel, to develop a strategic technology center in Vietnam.
The center, which will be the third to be developed by NCS in Asia, is set to have over 3,000 employees by 2025, the local media reported.
The center is aimed at offering infrastructure services and training courses, and developing highly skilled tech workforce in accordance with the Singaporean firm’s integrated delivery methods to meet the rising demand for digitalization.
FPT Software will help NCS increase its tech capacity and improve its access to customers across Asia-Pacific.
FPT expects the cooperation with NCS to help speed up digital transformation at firms and the Government.
Closing the trading session today, August 2, FPT maintained its growth momentum on the HCMC bourse, gaining 1.2%.
With 315 gainers and 150 losers, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange ended up 10.27 points, or 0.83%, from the session earlier, at 1,241.62, extending its rising streak for the second straight session.
There were some 818 million shares worth VND16.8 trillion changing hands, up 15% in volume and 4% in value, against the previous session.
Many large-cap stocks made strong gains, significantly contributing to the rise of the main index.
At the close, the HNX-Index of the Hanoi bourse advanced 1.23 points, or 0.42%, from the day earlier, at 295.84, with the number of advancers almost doubling that of losers by 128 to 69.
