FPT launches automotive tech subsidiary

HCMC – FPT has recently announced the establishment of FPT Automotive, a new subsidiary focusing on the rapidly growing software-defined vehicle (SDV) market.

FPT Automotive aims to capitalize on the increasing demand for software-driven automotive solutions, with a target of reaching US$1 billion in revenue by 2030.

The company offers a range of engineering services, including in-vehicle infotainment, electronic control units (ECU), functional safety, security, UI/UX design, wireless connectivity, and digital engineering.

FPT Automotive has plans to empower global tier-1 suppliers, original equipment manufacturers, and chipmakers in creating more connected, intelligent, and sustainable vehicles.

With a global team of 4,000 software engineers, the company caters to diverse client needs and adapts to the evolving demands of the industry. Its operations currently span key markets across the U.S., European countries, Japan, South Korea, China and Vietnam.

The launch of FPT Automotive signifies FPT’s strategic pivot towards automotive technology and product engineering services. “FPT Automotive leverages our extensive expertise and established partnerships with industry leaders like Landing AI and Cardinal Peak to navigate the transformative landscape of software-driven vehicles,” said Dr. Truong Gia Binh, founder and chairman of FPT Corporation.
