FPT reports strong growth in Jan-Oct

HCMC – FPT Corporation (HOSE: FPT) has announced its financial results in January-October, with its revenue growing 21% year-on-year to nearly VND42.5 trillion.

The company’s pre-tax profit in this period rose by 19.1% against the same period in 2022 to around VND7.7 trillion.

International IT services contributed a significant part to this growth, with a 30.8% year-on-year revenue increase to VND19.8 trillion.

The company saw its revenue growing by 44.1% in Japan and 35% in the Asia-Pacific, primarily driven by higher spending on digital transformation services.

The company secured new orders totaling VND23.1 trillion in foreign markets, up by 26.5%.

FPT’s domestic IT services demonstrated solid growth of 8%, generating revenue of VND5.4 trillion. The domestic tech giant said it will commit to collaborating with the Government, ministries, and foreign enterprises in its efforts to sustain growth in the domestic IT services sector.

Closing the trading session today, November 14, FPT inched up 1.31% to VND92,600 per share, with a matching volume of nearly two million shares.

Winners outnumbered losers by 365 to 171 on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange. The VN-Index added 9.66 points, or 0.88%, to 1,109.73 points, with a total trading volume of 822.2 million shares valued at VND17 trillion.

These figures represent a 4% increase in volume and a 6% rise in value over the previous session, with block deals contributing 56.1 million shares worth VND1.5 trillion to the overall value.

Banking stocks drove the stock market higher on Tuesday, with EIB leading the way with a 6.74% gain. SHB, MSB, LPB, STB, and BID also performed well. BID was the biggest contributor as it helped the VN-Index rise by 1.1 points.

Securities stock VIX posted the highest matching volume on the southern market, with 34.9 million shares changing hands.

The HNX-Index of the Hanoi Stock Exchange edged up 1.32 points, or 0.58%, to 227.43 points. The northern bourse saw 102 advancers and 59 decliners, with a trading volume of 82.1 million shares worth over VND1.5 trillion.
