In a market where most food brands compete through taste, price, or the latest consumer trends, SHE Chocolate began with a very different question:
“How can I create a healthier food option for my daughter?”
This simple yet profound question inspired Ms. Truong Thi Thanh Thuy, a Chemistry graduate from the University of Science, Vietnam National University, to embark on a journey of researching and developing chocolate nearly 13 years ago.
Unlike the common perception of chocolate as merely a snack or a gift, Ms. Thuy approached it through the lens of food science and Eastern culinary philosophy. Through years of exploration, she observed that consumers increasingly seek products that support well-being while still allowing them to enjoy life’s simple pleasures.
This realization led SHE Chocolate to pursue a distinctive path: creating chocolate products inspired by the philosophy of balance in Eastern food culture.

According to Ms. Thuy, good health is not achieved through restriction alone, but through balance in the way we choose and enjoy food. This principle gradually became the foundation of SHE Chocolate’s product development philosophy.
The company sources Vietnamese cacao with cacao-trace standard and promotes farming practices that minimize the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Beyond ingredient selection, SHE Chocolate carefully combines cacao with tropical fruits familiar to Vietnamese culture, such as mango, orange, coconut, and banana, creating products that offer both flavor and harmony.
Yet the story of SHE Chocolate extends far beyond chocolate itself.
From its earliest days, the company has committed to contributing USD 0.10 from every kilogram of chocolate sold to support cacao farmers. This commitment has remained unchanged throughout nearly thirteen years of operation.
As the company enters a new stage of development, SHE Chocolate is expanding its social mission through initiatives that support disadvantaged Vietnamese women and provide educational opportunities for resilient students facing challenging circumstances.
Ms. Thuy believes that women play a vital role in shaping family happiness, nurturing future generations, and contributing to community development. When women are given greater opportunities, the positive impact often extends far beyond the individual and reaches entire families and communities.

At a time when consumers are increasingly interested in product origins, sustainability, and corporate responsibility, smaller brands with authentic values have an opportunity to stand out.
For SHE Chocolate, success is not measured solely by creating better chocolate. It is about building a Vietnamese brand that represents balance — between science and emotion, business growth and social responsibility, indulgence and well-being.
What began as a mother’s desire to care for her daughter has gradually evolved into a broader mission of caring for communities.
And perhaps that is the essence of what SHE Chocolate calls:
“The Sweetness of Balance.”
