HCMC – Domestic fuel retail prices have been revised down for the fifth straight time, according to an announcement jointly issued by the ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance today, August 8.
E5 RON92 bio-fuel dropped by around VND900 per liter to VND20,720, while RON95 petrol dipped by VND930 to VND21,670 per liter.
Kerosene and diesel oil are now priced at VND19,400 and VND19,140 per liter, down by VND680 and VND740, respectively. Heavy fuel oil edged down by VND860 per kilogram to VND16,030, the local media reported.
During this fuel price adjustment, the two ministries continued to impose no surcharge on all types of fuel, marking the 42nd consecutive adjustment since October without tapping into the fund.
Data from the Ministry of Finance showed the fund’s balance stood at VND6.65 trillion at the end of 2023.
