Giving blood, receiving happiness

Must read

HCMC – As a finance company, apart from business operations, Home Credit has attached importance to community activities as part of its business development strategy. With the message “Giving blood, receiving happiness in return,” the firm has partnered with The Saigon Times Group to hold the Blood Donation Day, which is set to take place on October 17, to save lives and help spread the message of compassion and benefits of donating blood among the community.

The Saigon Times Group’s Blood Donation Day is an annual meaningful and prestigious event offering organizations and companies a chance to help patients in need by donating blood, according to a representative of Home Credit.

“Via mass media, we know that Vietnam in general and HCMC in particular often face undersupply of blood for transfusion. The outbreak of the new coronavirus has worsened blood shortages as many blood drives were suspended in the midst of the fight against Covid-19 in the country. As such, Home Credit expects the blood donation day to attract many donors now that the pandemic has been brought under control,” said the representative of Home Credit.

Also, the firm hopes that the Saigon Times will maintain the meaningful event in the future as blood donation is the act of giving life.

The Saigon Times Group is a prestigious news agency that has effectively deployed various meaningful community programs, the Home Credit representative said, adding that the firm is honored to join hands with the group to organize this year’s blood donation event and other activities in the coming time.

This is not the first time Home Credit has accompanied The Saigon Times Group on the trip to save lives. In 2017, the firm sent up to 90 of its staff to the Blood Donation Day, with an aim to make a practical contribution to the community.

In addition, Home Credit has carried out a number of charity programs to improve the quality of the community’s life, including gifting 50,000 face masks to medical workers and soldiers on the frontline combating Covid-19 and sending its employees to a race aimed at raising funds for the Covid-19 fight at hospitals.
