At Bao Tin Minh Chau, gold ring prices are VND84.8 million per tael for buying and VND86.3 million for selling, down by VND400,000 and VND300,000, respectively.
On the global market, spot gold fell by 1% to US$2,661.76 per ounce as of 3:57 a.m. Vietnam time, while U.S. gold futures slipped by 1.3% to US$2,678.60 per ounce.
The decline was attributed to the U.S. dollar surging to a two-year high, as new economic data boosted expectations of cautious interest rate cuts by the U.S. Federal Reserve.
