HCMC – The local price of gold rings increased by nearly VND1 million this morning, April 8, to a new record of above VND75 million per tael, the local media reported.
Doji, a jewelry firm in Hanoi, listed its gold rings at VND73.8 million per tael for buying and VND75.25 million per tael for selling at around 10 a.m., its highest ever. A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 troy ounces.
Bao Tin Minh Chau, also based in Hanoi, raised its gold ring prices to VND73.83 million for buying and VND75.23 million for selling, an increase of VND600,000 compared to the previous week.
In HCMC, the Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) quoted its gold ring buying and selling prices at VND72.7 million and VND74.1 million per tael, respectively.
While gold ring prices continue their upward trajectory, the trend for gold bar prices appears to be leveling off.
