Following the groundbreaking of its Asia Coconut Processing Plant II (ACP2) in May 2026, Asia Ingredients Group (AIG) participated in THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2026, highlighting the company’s growth momentum and ambitions to strengthen its global brand.
AIG elevates Vietnam’s agricultural ingredients on global stage
THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2026, the largest edition of the trade show to date, brought together more than 3,300 exhibitors from over 60 countries and is expected to attract more than 88,000 visitors from 140 countries and territories. Widely regarded as one of the Asia-Pacific region’s leading food and beverage trade events, the exhibition serves as a strategic hub connecting stakeholders across the global F&B supply chain.
At its sixth appearance at THAIFEX-Anuga Asia, AIG showcased a diverse portfolio of value-added agricultural products derived from Vietnam’s key crops, reinforcing the country’s growing role in the global food supply chain.
The group introduced a wide range of products, including ingredients made from tropical fruits, coconuts, cassava starch, aloe vera, nata de coco, and natural essential oils. The products meet stringent international quality standards and are well-positioned to benefit from rising global demand for sustainable and environmentally friendly food ingredients.

As the global food industry shifts toward natural ingredients, plant-based products, organic foods and health focused beverages, demand for value-added agricultural ingredients is rising steadily.
At THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2026, AIG’s ingredient portfolio attracted interest from importers, distributors and food companies from Europe, Japan, South Korea, the Middle East and the United States. Bruns Udo, founder and CEO of Germany-based UB thirsty GmbH, said: “AIG’s products meet European market standards, particularly its coconut and aloe vera ingredients. With its well-established and strategically invested manufacturing system, AIG has the capacity to develop new trends for international markets.”

As one of Vietnam’s pioneering companies in enhancing the value of agricultural products through deep processing, quality standardization and deeper integration into global supply chains, AIG continues to strengthen its capabilities and competitiveness as it strives to build an internationally recognized brand.
AIG strengthens its international brand presence
After nearly 25 years of development, AIG has undergone a significant transformation, expanding from an ingredient distributor into a producer of natural ingredients and a provider of integrated ingredient solutions for the life sciences industry.
With a vision of bringing Vietnam’s value-added agricultural products to global markets, AIG has pioneered an integrated value chain model spanning raw material sourcing, manufacturing, research and development (R&D), and international trade promotion. The model is designed to maximize value for customers and partners while supporting the sustainable development of Vietnam’s agricultural sector. It also serves as a key foundation for enhancing competitiveness, expanding the company’s presence in international markets, and progressively strengthening the position of Vietnamese brands within the global ingredients supply chain.
Today, Asia Ingredients Group (AIG) operates an ecosystem of more than eight subsidiaries supplying ingredients to a wide range of industries in Vietnam and exporting to more than 50 countries and territories. The group also partners with leading global companies, including DSM-Firmenich, James Farrell, AAK, Tate & Lyle, PanTheryx, Givaudan, Darigold and Ingredion.

AIG has also continued to invest heavily in production capacity and advanced processing technologies for agricultural ingredients. On May 11, 2026, the group broke ground on Asia Coconut Processing Plant II, a key project in its strategy to expand its portfolio of value added coconut products, increase production capacity, standardize quality to international standards, and strengthen its presence in major export markets, including Europe, the United States, Japan and South Korea.
With a total investment of nearly VND630 billion and scheduled to commence operations in the first quarter of 2027, Asia Coconut Processing Plant II will give AIG the largest coconut processing network in Vietnam. The project supports the group’s broader vision of helping position Vietnam as a leading global hub for the processing and export of high quality agricultural ingredients.

At the groundbreaking ceremony for Asia Coconut Processing Plant II, AIG also announced a partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, to develop environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards, strengthen emissions management and reporting, and enhance its operations in line with international best practices. The collaboration marks an important step in helping AIG meet increasingly stringent global requirements on sustainability and supply chain transparency.
At the same time, AIG has stepped up engagement with international partners as part of its strategy to build a globally competitive business. In April 2026, the group hosted Masayuki Omoto, President and CEO of Japan’s trading giant Marubeni Corporation, and his delegation for discussions aimed at fostering a long term and sustainable partnership.

After nearly 25 years of growth driven by innovation and sustainability, AIG continues to reinforce its leadership position and expand its international presence, supporting Vietnam’s ambition to become a leading global center for high quality agricultural processing and ingredient supply.
