People, the most important asset

At Nestlé, people are considered the most important asset in the company’s production and business activities, a decisive factor in all their action plans and successes. Nestlé believes that in order for a company to succeed, grow or develop, employees need to be guaranteed the safest and most favorable environment to work in plus a competitive welfare regime. Along with that, they must be equipped with and given access to the knowledge and skills necessary to complete their jobs, thereby having the opportunity to advance and develop further in their careers.

A prominent feature in Nestlé’s personnel policy is their commitment to training Vietnamese leaders. Currently, Vietnamese make up nearly 40% of the managerial staff of the company, 86% of all high-rank positions and 99% of all mid-rank. The average cost of human resource training is VND20 billion per year.

In the face of Covid-19, Nestlé in 2019 launched the STORM project with 5+1 main objectives, among which Employee Health Care and Safety was placed on top to ensure the best safety and health for their staff members and timely support all of them during the pandemic.

In addition to the golden prize of the Vietnam National Quality Awards 2020, Nestlé Vietnam since 2014 has been voted into the Top 3 Best Places to Work in Vietnam by Alphabe.
