Government plans to rearrange state-owned enterprises till 2025

HCMC – Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai has signed a decision approving a plan of rearrangement of state-owned enterprises for the period of 2022-2025 in the form of one-member limited company, equitization, re-arrangement and divestment.

Accordingly, the Government will equitize 19 enterprises and re-arrange five enterprises (including merger and liquidation). Meanwhile, 141 enterprises will be divested in the period and 126 enterprises will have their state-owned equity maintained by the Government.

Some other 21 state-owned enterprises will receive special rearrangement and 195 enterprises will continue operating as one-member limited companies.

State-owned enterprises under the management of the Ministry of Health, HCMC People’s Committee, Hai Duong Province People’s Committee and those enterprises that are yet to be stipulated in this decision will be subject to the approved plan of the prime minister.

Some 19 enterprises, planned to be equitized, encompass popular brand names such as NEAD – Technology Application and Development One Member Company Limited, Hanoi Agricultural Produce and Foodstuff Import-Export One Member Company Limited, Halong Fisheries Company Limited, and Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), among others.
