Must read

HCMC – Chairing a regular Government meeting on June 9, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc proposed discussing the reopening of international flights, saying large numbers of foreign experts, skilled workers, investors and business executives are seeking to enter Vietnam.

Besides this, many localities have proposed allowing foreign experts and business executives to enter the country to deploy projects quickly, reported the Vietnam News Agency.

Moreover, a rising number of Vietnamese nationals living abroad are also hoping to return home.

As such, it is necessary to adopt appropriate and efficient solutions to quarantine and immigration issues after the reopening of international air routes, he noted.

The prime minister asked the Ministry of Transport to join hands with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to propose certain suitable international flights and routes that can be reopened and to direct local authorities to set up quarantine centers and test passengers on arrival.

As for the resumption of international commercial flights, the national steering committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control was tasked with publicizing a list of safe areas, which have reported no new Covid-19 cases over the past 30 days, to resume international air services.
