HCMC — Hanoi City will operate 20 bus routes connecting directly to the Vietnam National Convention Center from August 12 to September 5 to serve those visiting an exhibition celebrating Vietnam’s remarkable achievements over the past 80 years, according to the city’s Transport Management and Operation Center.

The plan includes two existing routes — Nos. 43 and E10 — and 18 additional services. A total of 70 buses will make nearly 900 trips daily, covering six directions from the city center, eastern, western, southern, and northern areas, as well as Noi Bai International Airport.

Six routes will start from major transit hubs in the city center, including Cau Giay, Kim Ma, Hao Nam, Hanoi Railway Station, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and Times City urban area. The eastern side will have three routes from Gia Lam Bus Station and Ocean Park; the west will have five routes from Nhon, Yen Nghia Bus Station, My Dinh Bus Station, Smart City, and Hanoi University of Mining and Geology.

From the south, two routes will run from Giap Bat Bus Station and Gamuda urban area; from the north, two routes will operate from Bac Son and Pho Ni. The airport will have two services, 90TC and E10.

Buses will stop at 17 terminal points and other designated stops, with additional signage reading “Vietnam Exhibition Center” for easy recognition.

The rollout will take place in two phases: six routes from August 12 to 27, followed by 14 more from August 28 to September 5, when visitor traffic is expected to peak. Ticket prices will remain unchanged in line with existing city bus fares.

Titled “The 80-Year Journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness,” the exhibition will showcase the country’s progress across various sectors, including politics, economy, society, defense, and diplomacy. It will also highlight key advancements in science and technology, health, education, culture, and tourism.

In addition to celebrating Vietnam’s rich cultural identity and heritage, the event will feature the nation’s efforts in green growth and digital transformation.
