HCMC – HBC shares of Hoa Binh Construction Group will be traded on the UPCoM market starting from September 18, as they have been delisted from the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE).
The Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) has approved the registration of 347.2 million shares of Hoa Binh Construction Group on the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM), with the first trading day set for September 18. UPCoM is under the management of HNX.
Those shares will have a reference price of VND5,700, around 0.87% below the closing price on HOSE.
On the final trading day on HOSE, September 5, HBC shares traded at around VND5,750 each.
In the first half of 2024, Hoa Binh Construction reported total revenue of VND3.6 trillion, up by 6% versus the year-ago period. Its net profit reached VND897 billion, an improvement from a loss of VND642.9 billion in the same period last year. However, the firm’s gross profit margin plunged from 5.5% to 1.7%.
In related news, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange added 3.08 points today, September 12, or 0.25% day-on-day, at 1,256.35 points, with 218 stocks rising and 163 others declining.
The total trading volume was over 433.6 million shares, with a combined value of VND10.5 trillion, down by 26% in volume and 18% in value against the previous session. Block deals contributed over 52.5 million shares worth VND1.2 trillion.
Most blue-chip stocks held steady in price, except for SSB shares, which fell by 5.94% to VND15,050. Over 5.28 million SSB shares were traded today, its third highest liquidity session of the year.
At this price level, SSB shares are at their lowest point in over three years, with the last three sessions seeing heavy selling.
Two bank stocks TPB and VPB took the lead by liquidity on the market, with 28.87 million and 22.6 million shares traded, respectively. However, both stocks gained a slight increase of only around 1.5%.
On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index added 0.45 point, or 0.19%, against the previous session, at 231.9 points, with 86 winners and 60 decliners.
Over 34.3 million shares with a value of VND651.4 billion were transacted today. Block trades contributed 12.87 million shares worth a total of VND294.3 billion.
