HCMC Beltway 3 project secures more sand supply

HCMC – The Hoa Hung sand mine in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang has been authorized for extraction to support the construction of HCMC Beltway No. 3.

The Tien Giang People’s Committee has granted approval to Hoang Hai Joint Stock Company to exploit the Hoa Hung 5 sand mine in Hoa Hung Commune, Cai Be District, Tien Giang Province. The total volume of sand to be extracted will be allocated for the HCMC Beltway No. 3 project until sufficient sand supply for the project is secured.

The mining area covers nearly 14 hectares, with a depth of 20 meters. The permitted extraction includes 1.1 million cubic meters of fill sand and over 500,000 cubic meters of overburden soil. The extraction capacity is limited to 400,000 cubic meters per year.

Hoang Hai Joint Stock Company must strictly adhere to regulatory procedures before implementing the sand mining project.
