HCMC – Work has recently begun on the S.I.S HCMC Center of Research, Training and Treatment for Stroke at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) in Thu Duc City.
Invested by S.I.S Vietnam Stroke International Services JSC at a total cost of VND1,000 billion, this 16-story building features modern machinery and equipment.
Once operational, the center will manufacture and test equipment for stroke diagnosis and treatment, including stents and guidewire coils.
The facility will offer specialized training in stroke and cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment to meet both domestic and international needs.
Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability in Vietnam. With a population of 100 million, the country records 200,000 stroke patients every year, according to the Vietnam Association for Rehabilitation.
