HCMC – At its 15th session held yesterday, the HCMC People’s Council approved a resolution adjusting the city’s master plan until 2040, with a vision to 2060.

According to the plan, the city’s population will reach 13 million by 2040, 14.5 million by 2050, and 16 million by 2060.

HCMC will have five zones: central urban zone, eastern urban zone, north-northwestern urban zone, western urban zone, and southern urban zone.

The city’s spatial development orientation combines a multi-center urban model with diverse ecological spaces.

The council session also addressed crucial matters in the economic and budgetary sectors, including a project to build new urban areas for the 2021-2025 period and the collection of fees and charges on online public services.
