HCMC – HCMC is entering the shopping season with a host of events being kicked off to promote consumption, including Online Friday 2022 and the second Promotion Month, launched yesterday, December 1.
The launch event was co-held by the Vietnam E-commerce and Digital Economy Agency, under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the HCMC People’s Committee.
Speaking at the event, Duong Anh Duc, vice chairman of the HCMC government, said the Promotion Month program has been carried out in the city for many years, attracting the participation of businesses nationwide.
Also, the National E-commerce Week and Online Friday 2022 programs are expected to offer great online shopping experiences to local consumers and international visitors during the big year-end shopping spree.
Also, the events will enable businesses to utilize supporting tools and features on ecommerce platforms to expand their customer network, boost their online sales, and gradually achieve sustainable growth at a time when digital transformation is becoming an inevitable trend throughout the world.
As of November 29 this year, the second Promotion Month program had attracted the participation of more than 3,300 businesses with nearly 7,000 promotions, a sharp increase compared to the first Promotion Month of 2022, which took place from June 15 to July 15 and attracted nearly 1,300 businesses and almost 5,500 promotions.
