HCMC – The Secretariat of the Party Central Committee has approved the appointment of Tran Kim Yen, Party secretary and chairwoman of the HCMC Fatherland Front Committee, as chairwoman of the Inspection Commission of the HCMC Party Committee in the 2020-2025 term.
HCMC Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen presided over a ceremony held today, June 22, to announce and hand over the Secretariat’s decision on the appointment of Tran Kim Yen, who is now a member of the Standing Committee of the HCMC Party Committee.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nen congratulated Yen on her new role, acknowledging it as both an honor and a significant responsibility.
Yen’s knowledge and experience will be invaluable in her new position, he said, adding the Inspection Commission of the HCMC Party Committee would support her in fulfilling her tasks and effectively carrying out the commission’s responsibilities.
In her acceptance speech, the new chief inspector expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her by the HCMC leadership. She promised to maintain exemplary revolutionary ethics, continuously improving her working capabilities, and fostering internal unity, as well as build a clean and strong Party organization in HCMC.
Born in 1969 in Phu Yen Province, Yen formerly worked at the People’s Committee of Ward 8, Tan Binh District; and served as chairwoman of the Tan Binh District Women’s Union, head of the Mass Mobilization Department of the Tan Binh District Party Committee, deputy head of the Mass Mobilization Department of the HCMC Party Committee, and chairwoman of the HCMC Labor Federation.
From 2018 to July 2022, she was secretary of the District 1 Party Committee. Since July 2022, she had been working as chairwoman of the HCMC Fatherland Front Committee.
Since Yen has taken up her new post, the Standing Committee of the HCMC Party Committee has appointed Nguyen Phuoc Loc, deputy secretary of the HCMC Party Committee, as Party secretary of the HCMC Fatherland Front Committee in the 2019-2024 term.
HCMC Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen also presided over a ceremony held today to announce and present the decision on Loc’s appointment.
Loc was born on January 31, 1970 in Vinh Binh Bac Commune, Vinh Thuan District, Kien Giang Province.
