HCMC – HCMC authorities will be inviting consultants to join a team responsible for overseeing the implementation of the special mechanisms provided in Resolution 98, HCMC Chairman Phan Van Mai told the 11th session of the city Party Committee meeting on July 8.
Resolution 98, which was passed by the National Assembly on June 24, grants special mechanisms and policies to HCMC in various fields, including infrastructure investment, budget funding, construction planning, strategic investment attraction, and organizational structures.
According to Mai, as approved by the prime minister, a centrally governed steering committee will be established to oversee the implementation of Resolution 98. The city will also establish a board to supervise the enforcement of the resolution, with the assistance of external experts and department officers.
“Mobilizing external human resources and experts with specialized knowledge is crucial as it will help alleviate the workload on departments and maintain professionalism,” said Mai.
During the conference, the city leader also mentioned that local authorities will review and reassign officials for the smooth implementation of the special mechanisms.
Secretary of HCMC’s Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen previously emphasized that the successful implementation of the new resolution requires proactivity and boldness in task assignment. The prime minister has agreed to lead the steering committee responsible for implementing Resolution 98, Nen noted.
